The Royal Guard
Mounted soldiers in flashing armor and uniforms outlined in gold, the Royal Guard is meant to protect and care for the people of Home no matter what. They’re a civil force whose responsibilities are preventing crime and maintaining public order. Guards uphold the law and can be found in all districts patrolling cities, supervising establishments, and ensuring they’ve stamped out any crime, including homicides, robberies, harassment, domestic issues, and etc.
While many of their uniforms vary, it isn’t difficult to point out a guard since they tend to always wear armor or protective clothing. If not, then guards dress in a dark, navy blue and gold uniform. Should they wear anything else, they will always have a unique badge crafted with hints of manacore pinned onto the left side of their clothing, over where their heart should be. Should any problems arise, it is best to seek out a guard and speak with them about it.

NOTEWORTHY GUARDS
AURUM REED [NPC]
The mines being one of the most unsafe areas in Oriel is common knowledge. Cave-ins happen quite frequently, but some years ago, the Feltaine Mines experienced one of its worst ones yet. What caused the rumbling within the mines to begin is unknown, but regardless, stones and stalagmites crashed down, severely injuring dozens of workers. Aurum Reed was the one who saved the miners, carrying each one of them out and to safety with only a shield and a halberd. The grey blooded man was struck in his throat during his endeavor, but luckily, was saved by the Orielians he rescued. Reed can no longer talk, but many regard him as an everyday hero.
August Egypsis [NPC]
A known guardsman is Chief August Egypsis, a Nadian man who’s quickly climbing the rankings despite being stuck as a mere knight for years. It’s easy to gauge that he’s easy to anger, as he doesn’t do well at masking his emotions. His body language and facial expressions speak a thousand words, and anyone can tell when he dislikes or likes a situation presented to him. Despite this, he remains as calm as possible, thinks before he speaks, and is a man who will make the hard choices with no hesitation should decisions lay on his shoulders. It’s said his magic is unreal and almost otherworldly; unmatched, even, and his abilities make him a highly requested guard.

A resolute woman with an icy aura yet warm heart, Major Opalescent uses her magic to buff her allies and organize them into perfect groups for flawless raids on criminal organizations. Under her leadership, casualties have always been at an all time minimum, and many have an easy time fighting alongside her. While her gaze is cold, she's far from heartless, and those that're on the battlefield with her figure that out rather quickly. Apparently, with her guidance, Opalescent and three other guards managed to take down and imprison the ring leaders of an underaged sex trafficking group hidden inside the Silian district.
