Learning Magic
The magic most humans can use is deemed as ‘internal magic.’ Most people are able to use their internal magic from birth once they recognize that blood magic is a thing, and that isn’t a difficult thing to realize so long as you have eyes, can speak english, and/or have a guardian to teach you. Grey bloods are an exception, as they gain a blood color either later in life or not at all. Tapping into blood magic is the same as learning to blink. You do it, and you never forget how to. It’s natural, and you perform spells on instinct, especially if you are in a life or death situation where your magic boosts your chances of survival.
There are special cases, however, as not every individual is the same.

Though magic schools aren't well liked among people, should someone decide to attend one, they're better off enrolling in Theroa, the school of magical artistry. It's located in Amelia's Uvaldi Keep, surrounded by enhanced woodlands, artificial rivers, and tiny forest creatures, so there's plenty space for students to practice their magic while in a calm environment. The location keeps students from getting harassed by the wicked as well, hence why Theroa is as popular as it is.
Aside from this, most students tend to 'graduate' being pretty well versed in their magic. While most magic schools resort to teaching those who're struggling extremely basic spells, i.e. teaching an orange blood how to do a fireball rather than outright manipulating fire as they please, Theroa attempts to dive deep into every student's soul and figure out all they can do.
